The Graduate Vocal Arts Program is a master of music program led by
renowned soprano Dawn Upshaw and pianist Kayo Iwama. The program was founded in 2006 and created to prepare young singers to meet the
challenges of a professional music career in the 21st century. Students
work on a combination of art song, operatic repertoire, chamber music
and new works. In alternate years, a fully staged opera production is
presented in the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts. In
addition to ample performance opportunities, the program includes a
strong academic component with classes and seminars led by a range of
music industry professionals and professors.
Dunigan graduated from Langley High School in 2010.
