A nail technician inspects the polish she just applied to a customer’s fingernails. Her and the other technicians are from Mongolia. Nomin Bold, who owns the salon with her husband, immigrated to the U.S. from Mongolia with her parents when she was 10 years old, first to Denver, then Chicago. She now resides with her family in Reston.
