Nicole Ritchie of McLean doesn’t think VDOT is addressing the real, bigger issues when tackling gridlock on local arteries. Ritchie blames a lot of the problems on unchecked development in the Tysons area, high tolls, and on the fact that the I-495 Hot Lanes “dump cars out right around the Georgetown Pike ramp” causing the squeeze and slowdown to Beltway northbound travel.
