Scottie Tran, Britney Phan, juniors, and Yenni Tran, sophomore, of the Stepping Stones Club at Oakton High School Phan: “We're here for our club, Oakton Stepping Stones, we're a sex trafficking awareness club, and we host awareness weeks and we just reach out, educate the school.” Tran: “I had a friend who was interested in starting this club, and we just basically came up with this idea because we were really passionate about this topic, we watched a documentary on sex trafficking, and it just really affected us. That's why we started this club. Phan: One of the local Fairfax County detectives talked to us about this issue and I think all of the members and all officers were really affected by the issue when we heard him talk to us.
